SherTrackPrivacy Policy
SherTrack ("SherTrack", "we", "us") is a family location-sharing app operated by TN GROUP LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to the SherTrack mobile apps for Android and iOS and to shertrack.app.
1. Information we collect

2. How location sharing works
- Your location is visible only to members of a Circle you created or joined by accepting an invite.
- Entering someone's phone number only sends an invite. Nobody can see another person's location unless that person installs SherTrack and agrees to share.
- When sharing is on, SherTrack collects location in the background, even when the app is closed, so alerts work. You can pause sharing, leave a Circle or turn off location permission at any time in the app or in your phone settings.
- SherTrack must not be used to locate anyone without their knowledge and consent. See our Terms of Use.
3. How we use information
- Provide the service: maps, Circles, Places, alerts and notifications.
- Verify accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the service secure.
- Process subscriptions through Apple and Google.
- Diagnose crashes and improve performance and features using aggregated or de-identified data.
- Respond to support requests and send important service messages.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your location for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Members of your Circle: your name, photo, location and Place alerts.
- Service providers that host and run the app for us under contract, such as Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud messaging, crash reporting) and Google Maps Platform (maps). They may only use the data to provide services to us.
- Apple and Google to process in-app purchases.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect the safety of a person, and in connection with a merger or sale of our business, with notice to you.
5. How long we keep it
- Location history: kept for up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Account data: kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records by law.
- Crash and diagnostic logs: up to 90 days.
6. Your choices and rights
- Pause location sharing, leave a Circle, or change location and notification permissions at any time.
- Access, correct or download your data, or delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app or on our account deletion page.
- Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, the EU/UK under the GDPR, or Brazil under the LGPD), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or restrict use of your data and to object to processing. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.
7. Children
SherTrack is intended for families and is managed by adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create their own account. A parent or guardian may add a child's device to a family Circle with the child's knowledge. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored with access controls on Google Cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to staff who need it.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above. For material changes we will notify you in the app.
